November Prayer Requests

Nov 6, 2025

Our busy October is behind us now. We feel refueled by the gracious affirmations from our host churches and workshop attendees. But we are facing challenges that we’d appreciate your prayer to navigate well, so thank you in advance for keeping us on your prayer list!

1.     We have learned from an expert (who was an answer to previous prayers) that our volunteer status and invitation letter will not get us the permit needed to stay here until our return flight December 15th. Our options now are:

a.     A) get a work permit from the future Bible college leadership (quickly) and then apply for the temporary residence permit (also quickly),

b.     B) travel somewhere outside the Shengen area and stay there for 15 days before catching our return flight (options include UK, Cyprus, Ireland or Morocco); this would involve finding a cheap flight and a cheap rental for the stay, which is feasible for around $1000,

c.      OR C) spend an extra $3500+ to change our flight and go home November 30.

d.     Or of course option D if God has another idea 😊 Please pray for guidance and doors to open or close here.

2.     Pray for the future Bible college leadership as major decision points are approaching and there are significant issues to resolve. Also pray for guidance in what our role will (or won’t) be and for clarity regarding the timing of what we think will be one or more 2026 trips back to Germany.

3.     Pray for our last three scheduled workshops:

a.     Marriage Coaching (last of 5 sessions) – Monday evening 10 November in Freiburg

b.     Building Warm Meaningful Connections (based on The Six Conversations book) – Friday evening 14 November in Stuttgart

c.      Our Marriage and the Kids (new workshop open to all Calvary Chapel families) – Wednesday evening 19 November in Freiburg

4.     Pray for wisdom and courage for all as we continue counseling multiple couples both remotely and in person.

We do have several additional meetings and dinners on the calendar with connections God continues to make, and we desire to pay attention and be a blessing to each person and family we meet.

Thanks very much for your continued support and encouragement!
